China successfully sent a satellite for space environment study and related technology experiments into the planned orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Sunday.
The satellite, the second of the Shiyan-6 series, was launched by a Long March-2D carrier rocket at 7:44 a.m. (Beijing Time), according to the center.
Beijing has unveiled an action plan to boost blockchain deployment, integrating the transaction data technology into the city's operations.
Under the Beijing Blockchain Innovation Development Action Plan 2020-2022, it is expected the city will initially become an influential new highland for blockchain innovation, application demonstration, industrial development and talent by 2022.
Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has seen 5G signals covering the main urban area of the city with more 5G base stations built this year.
By the end of June, Urumqi had built a total of 2,379 5G base stations, of which 1,861 were completed this year. Major public venues such as key commercial districts are all covered with the 5G network.
