Minister Breen welcomes EcoOnline expansion in Mid-West

<p>LIMERICK, Ireland - Norwegian IT firm EcoOnline is to double the size of its operation in Ireland.</p><p>EcoOnline which supplies and services health, safety, environment and quality software is building the new enlarged operation around a new 7,000 square foot office in Limerick, doubling the size of its previous office space, in what is says is an ongoing commitment to innovation and growth in the Irish and UK markets.<br /><br />The opening ceremony of the new office took place on Thursday and was attended by local and national dignitaries including Ireland&#39;s Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mayor of the City and County of Limerick James&nbsp;Collins.<br /><br />The office will serve as a centre&nbsp; of support for the company&#39;s existing and expanding client base in Ireland, the United Kingdom and globally.<br />&nbsp;<br />EcoOnline is currently hiring for various departments in its Limerick office, which include IT development, customer support and account management team. The projected growth is anticipated to increase its workforce from 34 employees to forty five over the next 18 months. The company was founded in 2000 and has 5,600 clients globally and says it protects over 325,000 users with its online safety software products. Since its acqjuisition of DCM Compliance in August last year. the company&#39;s workforce has grown to 180 employees in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Ireland and the United Kingdom.</p><p>&quot;I am delighted to open EcoOnline&rsquo;s new premises in Limerick and very much welcome their continued expansion.
