New Delhi [India], Dec 10 (ANI): Xavient Digital - powered by TELUS International organized its largest TELUS Days of Giving to date in New Delhi with more than 1,000 participants.

This volunteer event, in partnership with Child Rights and You (CRY), comprised of two activities: a 'ride for child rights' cyclothon, which will help keep 3,695 underprivileged children in school, and a learning center refurbishment, which will improve the quality of education for 2,400 children.

Xavient Digital helped more than 12,000 local community members by investing money, time and energy towards local charities this year, supporting children's education, the eradication of malnutrition, as well as awareness about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.

The focus of Xavient Digital - powered by TELUS International donations in India this year are:

?Providing access to health and nutrition for almost 4,500 children (Sonbhadra Vikas Samiti Sansthan)

?Offering education programs for almost 2,000 students (Navshrishti, Faridabad)

?Adopting 144 students from four classes, sponsoring their education for the whole year (SETU)

TELUS International President and CEO Jeffrey Puritt, who traveled from the United States to attend the events, said, "Held all around the world, TELUS Days of Giving are driven by a simple philosophy that is the cornerstone of our caring culture: We Give Where We Live. Everyone at TELUS International believes in the power of making an impact in the communities where we live and work, and sees it as a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This most recent TELUS Days of Giving will be our third community giving event in India in just six months, and we are committed to having many more in the future."

Earlier this year, Xavient Digital - powered by TELUS International hosted two previous TELUS Days of Giving programs, when team members planted trees and refurbished a school.

We have been associated with SETU (NGO, Nithari) for the past four years. We're looking forward to supporting various social causes in the near future and to bringing smiles to many more faces."

Hosted at all their sites around the world, TELUS Days of Giving are company-organized opportunities for team members to volunteer at a high-impact, one day event in their local community. From refurbishing schools to building houses and planting trees, TELUS International team members make a difference in their communities.

Since 2000, TELUS (TELUS International's parent company), its team members and retirees, have contributed over US$490 million to charitable and not-for-profit organizations and volunteered more than 1.21 million days of service to local communities. (ANI)
